چکیده

In the study, a potentially feasible low-NOx combustion technology, based on self-sustained preheating of pulverized coal, is proposed. A 2 MW novel test rig was employed, and bituminous coal used in experiment. internal fluidized bed combustor (IFBC) as chamber for followed by air staging chamber. Preheating characteristics IFBC temperature distribution primary zone were discussed. Next, effects ratio preheated fuel burner positions tertiary NOx emissions investigated. The results demonstrated that led to clean efficient operation, producing minimum emission 72 mg/Nm3 (@ 6% O2). could be above 900 °C stably, obtained conversion rate fuel-bound N (fuel-N) up 80.2% IFBC. Moreover, profile exhibited symmetrical along central axis burner. high-temperature moved upward with increasing burner, region low oxygen strong reducibility formed, inhibiting generation. To maximally reduce emission, large retention time reducing uniform mixing reactants crucial. multi-layer arrangement delayed supply found conducive significantly emissions.

Effects of nitrogen content in fuel on NOX emissions under oxy-fuel coal combustion

Oxy-fuel coal combustion with flue gas re-circulation is known to be one of the most promising methods for reducing CO2 emissions from coal combustion power plants. In the oxy-fuel system, the combustion atmosphere consists of only O2 separated from air and flue gas re-circulated from a stack. Therefore, the flue gas is dominated by CO2 without any nitrogen gas. The most attractive potential as...

Model of pulverized coal combustion in a furnace

We describe behavior of the air-coal mixture using the Navier–Stokes equations for gas and particle phases, accompanied by a turbulence model. The undergoing chemical reactions are described by the Arrhenian kinetics (reaction rate proportional to exp ` − E RT ́ , where T is temperature). We also consider the heat transfer via conduction and radiation. Moreover we use improved turbulence-chemist...

Effect of co-combustion of chicken litter and coal on emissions in a laboratory-scale fluidized bed combustor

Article history: Received 1 October 2006 Received in revised form 20May 2007 Accepted 20 June 2007 Co-combustion of chicken litter (CL) with coal was performed in a laboratory-scale fluidized bed combustor to investigate the effect of CL combustion on pollutant emissions. The emissions of major gaseous pollutants including CO, SO2, H2S and NO and temperature distribution along the combustor wer...
